The horror debut for both Cornet and Nevsky is about: Hospice nurse Julia Rowe is hired to be caregiver for Lillian Gresham, who lives in an isolated house in a remote area. Although she is terminally ill, the elderly Lillian is a cordial and sweet lady. However, as the night goes on, Julia suspects something demonic is also dwelling in the house causing she and Lillian to be in grave danger.
Night of the Caregiver stars Natalie Denise Sperl, Eileen Dietz, who is best known for playing the demon in the classic horror film The Exorcist, Anna Oris (Gunfight at Rio Bravo), Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), and Joe Cornet himself. Sam Wilkerson (Paydirt) is the director of photography, and the stunt coordinator was Robert Madrid (Half Past Dead 2). Cody Miller (Maximum Impact) is the editor.
The film is an international co-production between ETA Films, San Rafael Production and Hollywood Storm, with Joe Cornet (A Prayer for the Damned) directing from a screenplay written by Craig Hamann (Showdown in Manila). Alexander Nevsky (Black Rose) is producing, and Cornet serves as executive producer with Eric Brenner (The Haunting of Sharon Tate) and Douglas “Fini” Finical (Taken from Rio Bravo). Sean Murray (Call of Duty: Black Ops) composed the score.
