Nicole Kidman's production company Blossom Films launched in 2010 with an adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire's play RABBIT HOLE. Now, six years later, they're returning to that well in a much more horrific manner. The company's latest acquistion is Joseph Wilde's 2013 Off-Broadway play CUDDLES, set to be adapted by Wilde himself.
In the play:
Eve is a 13 year old vampire…Eve does everything a good little vampire girl should, including drinking her (human) sister’s blood. But one day, Tabby tires of opening her veins and, in a breath, the whole world changes.
It sounds like a family drama approach to LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, and I couldn't be happier about that. Says Kidman: “Joe’s voice is so beautifully subversive. He’s exactly the kind of young writer Blossom is looking to support.”
