Nick Jonas is in the process of entering the world of JUMANJI.
The actor-singer is in early talks to join the cast, which is fronted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart, as Sony attempts to relaunch the property once made popular by the late Robin Williams. The original, adapted from Chris Van Allsburg's book, told the story of a young boy who had grown into a man while trapped in a mysterious board game who must now win with the help of others in order to be freed.
Jonas will always be known as one-third of the Jonas Brothers and for his pop music leanings, but he has been turning in some stellar work on the MMA scripted drama KINGDOM on DirecTV in addition to his turn in the upcoming GOAT. His role in JUMANJI may be undetermined at the moment, so it's hard to know how he's going to fit into the film, but, based on his recent work, he's far from a bad addition.
JUMANJI opens on July 28, 2017.
