As we all know good and well by this point in time, Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green's direct sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN hit theaters this past weekend. It totally killed it at the box-office, and I've heard many people agreeing that the new movie is the best of the series – other than, of course, Carpenter's original classic.
And if you were a fan of the new film, and know all kinds of fun trivia about it and the original, then you know that the man who played The Shape in the 1978 flick returned for a cameo behind the Michael Myers mask for Blumhouse's HALLOWEEN.
Well, today we have a cool featurette about just that, Nick Castle. In this featurette, which you can check out below, Carpenter and cast and crew talk about what a joy it was to see the original man behind the mask back in action. It's a fun watch so I suggest you make a bit of time today to check it out. After that, make sure to hit us up and let us know if you saw HALLOWEEN this past weekend and what you thought below!
Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride, Blumhouse's HALLOWEEN follows this synopsis:
It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she's ready for him.
The new direct sequel stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner with stuntman James Jude Courtney and, of course, original The Shape-star Nick Castle as Michael Myers. HALLOWEEN is now playing at a theater near you.
