PHANTASM: RAVAGER and a 4K restoration of the original PHANTASM are coming to theaters soon, because we're currently living in the fever dream of an 80's teenager. Now that October is drawing nearer, both films have dropped new trailers, which you can check out below! The PHANTASM trailer might be for a film that everyone has seen before, but it's a delicious retro repackaging, and the RAVAGER trailer is just plain nuts. I can't wait for this double feature!
In PHANTASM, directed by Don Coscarelli:
The residents of a small town have begun dying under strange circumstances, leading young Mike (Michael Baldwin) to investigate. After discovering that the Tall Man (Angus Scrimm), the town's mortician, is killing and reanimating the dead as misshapen zombies, Mike seeks help from his older brother, Jody (Bill Thornbury), and local ice cream man Reggie (Reggie Bannister). Working together, they try to lure out and kill the Tall Man, all the while avoiding his minions and a deadly silver sphere.
PHANTASM: RAVAGER doesn't have an official synopsis yet, but it was directed by David Hartman, who co-wrote the script with Don Coscarelli. It stars Reggie Bannister, Angus Scrimm, A. Michael Baldwin, Kathy Lester, Bill Thornbury, and Daniel Schweiger.
The two films will hit theaters and Digital HD jointly on October 7th.
