Oh, boy. So, here’s a new trailer for THE THREE STOOGES and it’s…pretty stupid. Maybe I’m being too harsh, as the TV show was stupid, too, but I loved it as a kid and it was a good watch. Perhaps it’s the nostalgia, but I think that making THE THREE STOOGES into a modern film is just odd. Die hard fans of the characters seem to either champion or denounce the film.
Personally, I think it’s going to belly flop at the box office, but you never know. I’m interested to hear the perspective of those that are for this film, because I just can’t get my head around why it was even made. I normally dig the Farrelly brothers’ work, but this does nothing for me. Except for this:
The film stars Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jane Lynch, Jennifer Hudson, Sofia Vergara, Craig Bierko, Stephen Collins, and Larry David.
Here’s the shenanigans:
THE THREE STOOGES opens April 13, 2012. I will be busy rearranging my sock drawer on that day.
At least there’s Kate Upton…
