New trailer for The Loved Ones teases you with the new princess of horror

The last he heard from Sean Byrne’s THE LOVED ONES was about the first trailer that Eric Walkuski tossed at you over the summer. Apparently not many fans liked the trailer as it was a little “spoiler-heavy.” Word to the wise: Watch this trailer instead to get a better feel for the upcoming horror flick.

Down below is the new trailer which teases us with some crazy clips and maybe a new psychotic killer on our hands? We’ll see when the movie hits Australian theaters this November.

Here’s the down-low for what seems to be a hell of a good time: BRENT (Xavier Samuel) has never really recovered from the night of his car crash. It’s the crash that killed his father, the crash that he was responsible for, and his only solace is his loving girlfriend HOLLY (Victoria Thaine). But there’s another girl who yearns to comfort Brent, the quietest girl in school, LOLA (Robin McLeavy). Just when Brent thought his life couldn’t get any worse, Brent turns down Lola’s invitation to the school prom and enters a nightmare beyond imagining. Just hours before the dance, Brent is abducted and taken to Lola’s home by her adoring, demented DADDY (John Brumpton) who’s determined to make his lovelorn princess’s dream come true, her own private prom night with her dream date. As the night wears on Brent discovers that Lola’s feelings for him aren’t the only thing she’s been keeping a secret, and although beaten and broken, he must summon every ounce of will he possesses if he is to survive, escape, and prevent Lola and her father from extending her revenge to those he loves most…

You can check out a clip of the film right here if this seems to tickle you in the right spot. Then head over to Chris Bumbray’s review of the film’s run at Fantasia right here and see what the man has to see about the film. The trailer definitely sets a new a tone but how do you feel about this whole “princess of horror” deal?
