The new trailer for Peter Berg's LONE SURVIVOR has hit, featuring more footage from the war film, which is based on the real-life account by Marcus Luttrell, as played by Mark Wahlberg in the film. Joining the cast are Taylor Kitsch, Eric Bana, Ben Foster, and Emile Hirsch, who recreate the events of Operation Red Wings, a Navy S.E.A.L. operation that left one man standing to tell the tale of their bravery and sacrifice.
Take a look:
Thus far, the film has been getting rave reviews from private screenings and a lot of care has been taken to make the film as accurate and real as possible, with Luttrell serving as an advisor throughout the filming. Director Peter Berg has carried the film as a passion project for years and after a rough go with last year's BATTLESHIP is poised to make a return to form with LONE SURVIVOR. I've been a fan of Berg's for a long time and I think this type of material suits him better than the big-budget bonanza type flicks.
LONE SURVIVOR opens in limited release on December 27, 2013 and opens wide on January 10, 2014.
