Ok, so this isn't the kinda flick we typically cover here on AITH, but after peeping the trailer for Ron Howard's IN THE HEART OF THE SEA I couldn't help but share it. In all honesty, it looks like a pulse-pounding and, at times, horrifying film in the man-vs.-nature genre, and to top it off the film is based on the insane true story that inspired Herman Melville's classic tale "Moby Dick". Just peep the trailer below and see what I mean.
IN THE HEART OF THE SEA stars Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, Brendan Gleeson, and Frank Dillane in a film based on the true story of the Essex whaleship that was attacked and sunk by a sperm whale in the southern Pacific Ocean in 1820. I mean, c'mon…it's a giant friggin' whale causing a lotta carnage and seemingly hunting and picking off humans! That's some scary shite!
Based on the 1820 event, a whaling ship is preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home.
The flick opens on March 13, 2015.
