New trailer for Genndy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Transylvania arrives

A new trailer for Genndy Tartakovsky’s HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA has found its way online and features some more footage from the animated pic starring Adam Sandler as Dracula, who not only drinks blood, but also manages a hotel.  The other voice talent is provided by David Spade, Cee Lo Green, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, Andy Samberg, and Selena Gomez.

Peep the trailer:

Here’s the synopsis:

Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them.  On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – to celebrate his daughter Mavis’s 118th birthday.  For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.

I’ll reiterate that Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack) is the big sell for this project.  Without his involvment I don’t think this pic would have the same drawing power.  However, Tartakovsky has yet to prove himself in a feature, so it’s anyone’s guess how well this turns out.  From what we’ve seen so far, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA has many of Tartakovsky’s signature visuals, so I’m hoping for a good show.

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA opens its doors on September 28, 2012.
