A few months back we received the first trailer for the flick, Begin Again. It showcased Mark Ruffalo‘s character, a failed music producer, running into Keira Knightley‘s Greta, a gifted musician. That same whimsical nature prevalent in the film’s first trailer carries over to this new one. This time, we get a little bit more of the story from Greta’s angle, as well as some of the music featured in the film. After all, one doesn’t cast Adam Levine just for his acting range, right?
Check out the new tunes here:
Director John Carney captured something magical with ONCE (given that back story, it’s no mystery why), so I’m curious to see if he can do the same on a bigger budget. Both Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo have really captured me in their performances in smaller films (SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT) and it looks like the two have great chemistry with each other. We have a review back from when it was titled CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE? (glad they changed that), and the review detailed exactly the kind of positive vibes I’m getting from these trailers.
BEGIN AGAIN, starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld, Catherine Keener, Adam Levine, James Corden, and Mos Def, will hit the pavement and theaters on July 4, 2014.
