New trailer and poster from latest Japanese flick Paranormal Effect 2

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Ammon Gilbert gave us the first glimpse of PARANORMAL EFFECT. Now we’ve got your first look at the new poster and trailer for the upcoming sequel to PARANORMAL EFFECT. The new sequel is titled…wait for it…PARANORMAL EFFECT 2. Oh, don’t you love originality?

The first flick goes something like this: Visiting her native Japan with her American boyfriend Darren, Reiko is disappointed to see him spend most of his time filming local stereotypes. Already upset, Reiko draws the line when Darren walks into a forbidden cave, which, according to local beliefs, enshrines shinto gods since the dawn of time. From then, Reiko and Darren start witnessing strange things happening around them, some of which they manage to catch on camera. Will they have time to understand what is upon them before it is too late?

In the sequel the film will take place in Tokyo and delve deeper into the wealth of Yokai and other Japanese lore by exploring what happened to the couple in the first flick. Sounds like a good time? It’s up to you mate.

In the wake of the huge success that PARANORMAL ACTIVITY had, it should be obvious by now to know that others will try to imitate the film. You already have PARANORMAL ENTITY so another Paranormal-titled film (and it’s sequel) seems about right.  Buy the first flick in the new series PARANORMAL EFFECT right over here and get a Halloween discount!
