The first teaser for ANTEBELLUM was frustratingly vague and filled with imagery which stretched across time from the Civil War up until the present day, but as the release of the film, which was written and directed by Gerard Bush & Christopher Renz, draws closer, a new trailer has dropped which…well, doesn't exactly do much to alleviate our confusion.
Janelle Monáe stars as Veronica Henley, a successful writer who finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it's too late. Based on the two rather intriguing trailers, I'm definitely down for whatever it is ANTEBELLUM is selling, and while it may have sounded as though I was knocking the trailer for not giving us a whole lot of information, I do wish that more movies would follow suit. All we need is a tease.
