The final trailer for THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES will be released sometime tomorrow, and USA Today has a few images from the preview. Martin Freeman's Bilbo, Ian McKellen's Gandalf and Cate Blanchett's Galadriel, Stephen Fry's Master of Lake-town and Ryan Gage's Alfrid are featured in the stills, as well as an ugly ass orc.
USA Today also spoke with director Peter Jackson, and he says, "I haven't made a film quite like this. It's my All the President's Men — or the closest I'm ever going to get."
Take a look:
Some of you are going to hate me for saying this, but to be honest, I'm kind of ready to be done with THE HOBBIT movies. I've enjoyed them (although not as much as THE LORD OF THE RINGS films), however it's been five years since Peter Jackson directed a film not set in Middle-earth, and I'm excited to learn about his post-THE HOBBIT plans. Jackson wants to helm THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN sequel and it might be his next movie, but I hope there are also a few other projects he's interested in directing.
THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES will be in theaters on December 17, 2014.
