AMC's upcoming 10-part adaptation of Joe Hill's 2013 novel NOS4A2 is all set to premiere sometime this summer. A few weeks back we shared your first look at actor Zachary Quinto as the ancient, supernaturally powered Charlie Manx with a quick teaser trailer. Quinto's Manx is described as having the ability to periodically rejuvenate by feeding on the life forces of children as he transports them to a fantasy world he created called Christmasland.
And wouldn't you know it, today we have yet another quick teaser trailer. But no worries, this one is a bit more substantial and gives us some good looks at the style of the series. I still haven't had the chance to sit down and read Hill's novel (too busy trying to get through his father's latest one) but I plan to give it a go before I start watching this new series. You can give the new teaser trailer a look-see below and then let us know what you think!
Here's the rundown on the book via Amazon:
NOS4A2 is a spine-tingling novel of supernatural suspense from master of horror Joe Hill, the New York Times bestselling author of Heart-Shaped Box and Horns. Victoria McQueen has a secret gift for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. On her Raleigh Tuff Burner bike, she makes her way to a rickety covered bridge that, within moments, takes her wherever she needs to go, whether it’s across Massachusetts or across the country. Charles Talent Manx has a way with children. He likes to take them for rides in his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith with the NOS4A2 vanity plate. With his old car, he can slip right out of the everyday world, and onto the hidden roads that transport them to an astonishing – and terrifying – playground of amusements he calls “Christmasland.” Then, one day, Vic goes looking for trouble—and finds Manx. That was a lifetime ago. Now Vic, the only kid to ever escape Manx’s unmitigated evil, is all grown up and desperate to forget. But Charlie Manx never stopped thinking about Victoria McQueen. He’s on the road again and he’s picked up a new passenger: Vic’s own son.
The series was created by Jami O'Brien. Quinto's costars include Ashleigh Cummings as Vic McQueen, Olafur Darri Olafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen, Jahkara Smith as Maggie Leigh, Karen Pittman as Angela Brewster, Rarmian Newton as Drew, Darby Camp as Haley Smith, and Ashley Romans as Tabitha Hutter. NOS4A2 is set to premiere on AMC in 2019. We'll let you know once we hear more on NOS4A2 but until then you can always head on over to Amazon and pick up a copy of Joe Hill's book HERE.
