Last month we learned that Image Entertainment had scooped up North American rights to Bobby Roe's THE HOUSES OCTOBER BUILT with plans to give the film a release in theaters and on VOD on October 10. We've known for a while that the film centers on a group of friends who set off on a road trip to visit haunted house attractions, only to come face to face with something more blood-curdling than fake thrills, which makes the flick sound like perfect viewing leading up to Halloween. Now we've gotten an updated synopsis to share with you in anticipation of the films release. Here's hoping we see a trailer for this one very soon! I'm certainly curious about this one.
The film is produced by Steven Schneider (INSIDIOUS, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY) and Zack Andrews. Directed by Bobby Roe, the film starrs Brandy Schaefer, Zack Andrews, Bobby Roe, Mikey Roe and Jeff Larson.
Beneath the fake blood and cheap masks of countless haunted house attractions across the country, there are whispers of truly terrifying alternatives. Looking to find an authentic, blood-curdling good fright for Halloween, five friends set off on a road trip in an RV to track down these underground Haunts. Just when their search seems to reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the Haunt has come to them…
Image Entertainment's Mark Ward seems to think that the film will become a new Halloween favorite, sharing…
“’The Houses October Built’ is an instant Halloween classic. This is a film that audiences will seek out year after year – and will be just as terrified each time they watch it.”
Let's hope it delivers on that promise! Look for THE HOUSES OCTOBER BUILT in theaters, on VOD, and on iTunes October 10.
