What better way is there to regain your movie credibility after appearing in a lousy series about sparkly vampires than to star in a David Cronenberg film? Can’t really think of one…
These new stills from COSMOPOLIS show Robert Pattinson losing his shit. Based on the book by Don DeLillo, the film follows a hectic day in the life of a newlywed billionaire, one where he cheats on his wife, is pursued by a stalker (played by Paul Giamatti!), is attacked by a protester and loses his entire forture over 24 hours.
Sounds like just the kind of dark (and darkly humerous) material that Cronenberg can spin into gold, but do you think Pattinson can handle the material?
Below is also a look at Sarah Gadon who stars as Elise Shifrin, the wife of the billionaire. Besides Pattinson, Gadon and Giamatti, it also stars Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, Juliette Binoche, Samantha Morton, and Mathieu Amalric. Helluva cast!
COSMOPOLIS will hit theaters sometime next year.
