New stills and poster for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut Don Jon

DON JON will be the first film directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and it's a movie I know a lot of people are very interested in seeing. The guy is incredibly talented and I can't wait to see how he does behind a camera. I'm guessing DON JON is going to feel a little like 50/50 (a good mix of humor and drama), although obviously cancer is a bit more serious of a topic than picking up girls at clubs and masturbation.

The Playlist has some new images from DON JON showing off JGL's Jersey lifestyle in the film (although it's less GTL and more VCD: vacuuming, cuddling, and Danza), as well as a slightly cheeky new poster. DON JON might not end up being a huge film, but I think it'll be a good first film for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and hopefully he'll direct more projects in the future.

Plot:

Jon Martello is a modern day Don Juan who objectifies everything in his life, especially women. His friends call him Don Jon because of his ability to pull "10s" every weekend without fail. But his addiction to porn has made him dissatisfied with life and he sets out on a journey to find a more gratifying sex life. However, he ends up seeing the bigger picture and learning more about life and love through two different women.

Starring Tony Danza, Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore, DON JON is in theaters September 27th, 2013, and you can check out Chris Bumbray's review from Sundance here.
