New Silicon Valley trailer teases Pied Piper’s Season 6 swan song

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

After five hilarious seasons of tech industry comedy, HBO has debuted a new trailer for the seventh and final season of SILICON VALLEY. In the newly-released footage, we see the Pied Piper gang struggling to wrap their minds around a potential buyout of their company, as well as the supposed ruination of Hooli. We also catch a glimpse of Richard (Thomas Middleditch) appearing before congress, in an attempt to lobby for his approach to the internet.

SILICON VALLEY stars Thomas Middleditch as Richard, Zach Woods as Jared, Kumail Nanjiani as Dinesh, Martin Starr as Gilfoyle, Amanda Crew as Monica, Jimmy O. Yang as Jian-Yang, Suzanne Cryer as Laurie Bream, Matt Ross as Gavin Belson and Josh Brener as Big Head.

The show follows the misadventures of Richard Hendricks (Middleditch), a Silicon Valley engineer trying to build his own company called Pied Piper. Throughout the show's history, the tech start-up has had their share of ups and downs, which will all come to an end with the arrival of the show's sixth and final season.

“In terms of last season, it’s a natural question; we have had conversations with them,” HBO president of programming Casey Bloys told Deadline in February. “Obviously when you get to the sixth season of a show, you have to talk about how much more is there in this, do you want to do more, so we have had those conversations. We are open to any version but, as we did with Veep, we put it to (the producers) and say, what do you think. They need to get in the room wit the writers and see what feels right.”

Are you ready to start waving goodbye to the Piped Piper gang later this month? How do you think the conclusion to their epic saga will play out? LEt us know in the comments section below.

The final season of SILICON VALLEY is set for an HBO premiere on Sunday, October 27 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
