New Rise of Skywalker image shows Poe Dameron piloting the Millenium Falcon!

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is so close I can almost feel the hum of lightsabers, hear the discharge of blasters, smell the stench of Chewbacca's fur, sense the cry of porgs – well – you get the idea. Bottom line, as a STAR WARS fan I'm thirstier for news than a lost Jawa in the Tatooine desert. Earlier today Joblo reported that Poe Dameron himself, Oscar Isaac, believes the final film in the Skywalker saga will be an epic Sith/Jedi chess match. Whether or not Dameron will be a lowly pawn or a badass bishop in the final film remains to be seen. However, according to a new picture courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we can be certain Poe will be doing something we've yet to see on screen – namely piloting the Millennium Falcon. Check it out:

Anybody else concerned about the "Oh shit!" look on Oscar Isaac's face here? Obviously, Poe's showcased his stellar piloting skills in the past but this is the Millennium Falcon we're talking about. Is it possible he's having a tough time with the controls? Are he, Chewbacca, and Finn about to head into a pitted space battle? Did Poe just forget to drink his blue milk that morning? I NEED TO KNOW! Whatever it is, Chewbacca doesn't look enthused. Frankly he looks kind of constipated. Too much porg perhaps?

Honestly, it was maybe a foregone conclusion that the best pilot in the galaxy would eventually pilot the most famous ship in the galaxy. It's the last film in the saga so why not pull out all the stops? What I'm intrigued to discover is why Poe is actually piloting the ship and where the Hell Rey is in this scenario. Could be this is the part of the movie where the group is separated for a bit. Or she may just be playing Holo Chess with C3P0 in the back. Who knows?

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER starring Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Keri Russell, Kelly Marie Tran, Billy Dee Williams, and Ian McDiarmid drops out of hyperspeed December 20.
