So if you’re as uninterested as I am about remakes of classic horror films, than you really wouldn’t care about the remake to PROM NIGHT. But because I’m a sucker, I will probably see it anyway.
Today, Arrow In The Head got a new still from PROM NIGHT, which is being helmed by Nelson McCormick, from a script written by J.S. Cardone. If you’re unfamiliar with PROM NIGHT (which I find that many are), it is a remake of the Paul Lynch film starring scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis. The original’s plot synopsis goes a little something like:
For six long years, Hamilton High School seniors Kelly, Jude, Wendy, and Nick have been hiding the truth of what happened to ten-year-old Robin Hammond the day her broken body was discovered near an old abandoned convent. The foursome kept secret how they taunted Robin – backed her into a corner until, frightened, she stood on a window ledge… and fell to her death. Though an accident, the then-twelve-year-olds feared they’d be held responsible and vowed never to tell. But someone else was there that day… watching. And now, that someone is ready to exact murderous revenge-on prom night.
Who knows what has changed and what hasn’t. Anyway, the new still is below, and if you’re interested, PROM NIGHT opens April 11, 2008 and stars Brittany Snow, Johnathon Schaech, and Brianne Davis.
