Updated with new poster! New poster trio: Monsters University, Stoker, and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III

Updated: a second poster for MONSTERS UNIVERSITY has been released that shows off the brilliant little details that make Pixar’s work so… well, brilliant.  Check it out below the first poster (via Fandango)

First up today we have the new poster for MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, one which holds the dual honor of being both new and full of infinitely more character (both literally and figuratively) than the teaser poster already released.

All I really have to say is this: Sully looks damn swanky in that letterman jacket.  Ladies…

Having never seen a Pixar prequel before, there’s little precedent as to how MONSTERS UNIVERSITY will turn out.  Having seen Pixar films in general many times before, there’s plenty of precedent as to how MONSTERS UNIVERSITY will turn out.  Thankfully, you can find out for yourself on June 21st, 2013.

Next up is a character poster for sorts for STOKER, Chan-wook Park’s English language debut that looks disturbingly beautiful and suitably discomfort-inducing.

Incorporating elements from the previous poster around Mia Wasikowska’s face, it’s an effectve image with an effective tagline and I look forward to hopefully seeing similar treatments for the other main characters played by Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode.  Look for STOKER on March 1st, 2013.

And finally, there’s the latest in a series of posters for A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III that have advertised for the film by way of celebrating its singularly bizarre nature.

This one strikes a balance between the strangeness of the images we’ve already seen and an old-school, almost drive-in aesthetic.  The color composition is certainly eye-catching, and hey – there’s even a title to boot.  The film is set to hit soon enough (February 8th, 2013), so I’m hopefully looking forward to a trailer drop soon.
