I tried to combine those movie titles into one strange-but-cohesive sentence, but was (obviously) unsuccessful. Maybe you’ll be able to one-up me in the comments?
First up we have a new poster for ZERO DARK THIRTY, a piece of promotional material that takes one of the more striking images from the teaser trailer we witnessed earler in the summer and uses it to highlight what is perhaps the most defining piece of imagery associated with Bin Ladin’s capture beyond his face. ZERK DARK THIRTY was directed by Katherine Bigelow, written by Mark Boal, and stars Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Edgar Ramirez, Mark Strong, Kyle Chandler, Nash Edgerton, Jennifer Ehle, Harold Perrineau and Frank Grillo. Check it out December 19th.
Following that there’s a new character poster of sorts for ARGO, this time focusing on Bryan Cranston. This poster looks like it is meant to go along with the series of three we ran last week, continuing the story of the film’s set up via taglines unique to each poster. ARGO was directed by Ben Affleck, written by Chris Terrio, and stars Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Alan Arkin, Clea Duvall, Kyle Chandler, Zeljko Ivanek, Rory Cochrane, Scoot McNairy, Adrienne Barbeau, Tate Donovan, Victor Garber, and Titus Welliver. Check it out October 12th (next week!)
And finally there’s an international poster for RISE OF THE GUARDIANS, one that seems to simply be a variation on the last “unite” poster we saw for the animated flick. Not meant to do much more than excite the kids about a new animated holiday (in more ways than one) movie, I would imagine that it does its job just fine. RISE OF THE GUARDIANS was directed by Peter Ramsey and William Joyce, written by playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, and stars Chris Pine, Alex Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, Jude Law, and Dakota Goyo. Check it out November 21st.
