Earlier this month we brought you the artwork reveal and pre-ordering info for a collection we've been waiting a long time to have in our hands, HALLOWEEN: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION. We've already gotten a look at some of the incredibly cool extras that will be coming in this set, but the fine folks at Scream Factory and Anchor Bay tell us that bonus features continue to be added on a daily basis, and an announcement is forthcoming outlining all the great newly produced interviews, featurettes, behind-the-scenes footage and more that will be included in the 15-disc Deluxe Edition.
As a teaser, check out the behind-the-scenes photo above of the actress who helped launched the historic franchise, the incredible Jamie Lee Curtis, as she sat down with HALLOWEEN H20 director Steve Miner (on the right) and moderator Sean Clark (center) for a new commentary track and interview that you’ll hear and see starting September 23rd!
How could you NOT be stoked for this? I'm going crazy here! This set is going to be nothing short of AMAZING!
For the legions of Halloween fans, the Deluxe Edition boasts 15 discs and contains all the Halloween feature films – Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20, Halloween: Resurrection, Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. The set includes the NEVER BEFORE RELEASED producers cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers as well as the ultra-rare network TV version of the original Halloween, the network TV version of Halloween II, plus the unrated versions of Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II.
You read that right: Finally, a real copy of the HALLOWEEN 6 Producer's Cut and the rarely seen TV versions of HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN II. Very, very cool.
The set will be packed with hours of BRAND NEW bonus features including new interviews with cast and crew from the entire franchise. In response to years of fan feedback, the first Halloween will now also include the original mono audio track and the set will include both versions of the original Halloween-the original Blu-ray release and the recently remastered 35th Anniversary version with the mono track added back in! It also comes with a limited edition 40-page book written by Michael Gingold of Fangoria Magazine. The collectible packaging will include a newly commissioned illustration on the outer case and each film will be in its own black Blu-ray case with the original theatrical one sheet as the key art.
The sets come in a 15-disc Deluxe Edition – that includes a rigid slipcase to house all the films, a bonus disc packed with extras and a collectible 40-page book – and the 10-Disc edition (films only but will still have selected extras).
Stay tuned in the next month for more details, including updates on the bonus features and photos taken from behind the scenes!
