New Morbius poster showcases the film’s ensemble cast

A new poster has been released for Morbius and while all the previous key art has only showcased Jared Leto as the film’s titular character, this new image gives a look at the movie’s ensemble cast.

The poster was released on the Sony Pictures UK Twitter page and the caption reads “Enter the world of a new Marvel legend. @JaredLeto is Morbius – Exclusively at Cinemas April 1.” You can check out the latest poster below!

Morbius suffered several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film’s original release date was July 10, 2020, which was then shifted to July 31, 2020. From there the film was pushed to Match 19, 2021, and then to October 8, 2021. After that delay, the film saw another release date shift to January 21, 2022, and from there Morbius was moved again to January 28, 2022. That appeared to be the last release date change but Sony moved the film again to April 1, 2022, when the Omicron surge became a concern. Some believe this wasn’t the reason for the move because it seemed silly to not ride the box office momentum of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sony Pictures never explicitly said that was the reason for the last release date change and since its new date falls on April Fools Day, I’m still not totally optimistic we’ll get the film on that date but that’s just me.

In the movie, Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) becomes a vampire after attempting to cure himself of a rare blood disease. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the cast also includes Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.

Do YOU like the new poster for Morbius? You can catch Jared Leto as Morbius when the film, hopefully, hits screens on April 1, 2022.
