Hemsworth, Thompson are locked & loaded in new MIB International image

We’re only in the first week of December and already we’re looking to the summer movie season, with trailers here or on the horizon for movies like AVENGERS and SPIDER-MAN. Another highly-anticipated project is the Men in Black reboot – MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL – starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The trailer may be closer than you think, but before it drops we got the first official photo from the movie which shows the leading duo aiming down the sights of some hefty space guns.

Tons of behind the scenes pics and videos have surfaced from the set of the movie – helmed by STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON’s F. Gary Gray. Teaming up once again with Thompson after their time on THOR: RAGNAROK, Hemsworth shared a photo of the two, saying this is not a movie still but rather the duo actually stopping a real crime in London with very real laser guns.

#FBF shooting MIB with my partner in galaxy protection @TessaThompson_x when we were ripping aliens a new one. From memory, this shot was taken in between set ups when we noticed some criminal activity on the streets in London. We immediately drew our laser guns and took down one of the largest crime syndicates in the city. Happy to say the streets of London are now safe again. You’re welcome world.

Take a look at the bigger version!

The new movie finds Agent H (Hemsworth) and Agent M (Thompson) working out of the London branch of the MIB (which is overseen by Liam Neeson’s character) taking on threats that invade earth from all over the cosmos. Also starring in the film are Emma Thompson as Agent O (reprising her role from MIB 3), Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall and Rebecca Ferguson.

While some folks may still have a place in their heart for the Will Smith/Tommy Lee Jones series, I think these two will do a solid job of rebooting the series for new audiences. They proved their chemistry on THOR 3, and so we know together they'll do wonders kicking ass all over the galaxy. Also, who says Smith can't stop by and say hello?

MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL hits theaters June 14, 2019.
