Here’s a peek a the DVD Art of LAKE PLACID 3 (did you actually think it was going to get a theatrical release?) and I have to admit…it’s pretty bland. Talk about slapping something together. There’s not much going on with the art cover other than a the third generation of crocodile chomping on some fine leg. That’s it. In other words once you’ve seen the cover you’ve seen the movie. What happened to the suspense that was captured in the first LAKE PLACID poster? Y’know, the one with Bridget Fonda swimming cautiously on the lake while massive jaws open up just a few feet behind her?

In the unrated material that is “suitable only for adult audiences” includes graphic violence and (gasp!) full frontal nudity! So if you want to cough up 25 bucks for a scene you can easily get for free online, start marking your calendars for October 26th. Until then enjoy a synopsis that highlights the “excitement” of the third installment: Get ready for a living, feeding nightmare when a swarm of gigantic crocodiles terrorizes a secluded country lake. When local wildlife is brutally mauled and campers are reduced to carcasses, biologist Nathan Bickerman (Colin Ferguson) knows a voracious predator is on the loose.
