Establishing yourself as an unrivaled, cold-blooded killer is quite the achievement, there's no doubt about that. However, no one gets to where they're going all on their own. Such is the case with Keanu Reeves' John Wick, who for two headshot-happy adventures has relied on the Switzerland-minded staff of The Continental for protection, pet sitting, and solace. As a fortified compound meant to house the most elite of killers, The Continental abides by a strict set of rules. Break any of those rules and your life is forfeit. Disrespect their services and you might as well run until your soles are worn and your heart is pumping battery acid. You can check in, you can check out, but if you fuck up … well, I think you know what will happen next.
A new featurette for JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM has been unleashed that takes a look at The Continental's evolution throughout the trilogy, detailing the high-tech hotel's strict code of conduct an no nonsense ways of enforcing its rules and regulations. It's the sort of establishment that will treat you like a king, right up until the moment your crown becomes broken, clattering to the intricately-tiled floor like so many scorching-hot bullet casings.
When JOHN WICK: PARABELLUM is locked and loaded and ready to invade theaters, the sequel will pick up shortly after the events of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2, with Reeve's fine-suited assassin on the run after a $14 million dollar bounty is placed upon his head for breaking an oath to never take a life while in the hallowed halls of the Continental Hotel. According to the rules, Wick should have been shot on-site, though his confidant Winston (Ian McShane) gave John a one-hour head start before alerting New York's deadliest killers to his newly revoked status.
Starring alongside Reeves for Wick's great escape are Halle Berry, Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Mark Dacascos, Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, Tiger Hu Chen and Jason Mantzoukas, with Laurence Fishburne and Common expected to reprise their roles as well. Chad Stahelski will direct from a script written by Derek Kolstad.
JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM will kick theater doors in on May 17, 2019.
