New James T. Kirk Bourbon lets you drink like the captain of the Enterprise

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

James T. Kirk (played by William Shatner in the original series and movies, and by Chris Pine in the new movies) is perhaps the most dashing, bold and decorated man in all of Starfleet, if not the galaxy. You don’t expect him to go around drinking water or, god forbid, some blue milk, do you? No, this is a man who probably enjoys a good stiff drink, and now you can drink like the man himself with a brand-new bourbon made in honor of the USS Enterprise captain.

Released by Silver Screen Bottling Company, this small-batch Bourbon celebrates the life and style of James Kirk and will launch a series of STAR TREK-branded beverages. You can read the description below as well as some pics that show off the bottle's detailed yet classy design, which proves this belongs behind any true space explorer’s bar. You are a real space explorer, aren’t you?

A serious Bourbon selected from choice barrels from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana. Aging in range from 4 years old to 12 years old, each small batch release of James T. Kirk Bourbon exhibits a depth and richness seen in only the finest Bourbon. Crafted with the highest respect for the whiskey and for the man that bears its name, James T. Kirk Straight Bourbon Whiskey is for the serious Star Trek fan and serious Bourbon fan, alike. Notes of caramel, Asian five spice, and pecan are not to be missed in this very special small-batch Bourbon.

You can head over to the website now to order some of this fine liquor as well as some other Kirk-branded merch that comes with the release of the whiskey. You want a Kirk flask to put that whiskey in so you can do some drinking on the go? Well, now you can buy one! Those of you who are going to San Diego Comic-Con this month will also find the whiskey and merch featured there as well.

I prefer a good whiskey over most drinks, so this is an awesome way to combine my nerdery with my drinking. I'm anxious to try this nectar of the gods and become as suave as the legendary character himself. After that, I'm going to leap the fence over at NASA and see if I can hop on a spaceship and blast off to the stars. Plans like that always work after a good drink.
