A new international trailer for director Darren Aronofsky's NOAH has washed ashore and it features a bevy of new footage that really plays up the epic scale of the flick. The biblical tale has had its share of controversy, with Aronofsky battling with the studio over the final cut, as well as a Variety story about "faith-driven" audiences that was refuted by Paramount, but is nonetheless ramping up for a big release next month. This new trailer has got plenty of appeal, whether you are a person of faith or not, and looks like an entertaining flick at the very least.
Grab a life preserver:
Here's the synopsis:
The Biblical Noah suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood.
Religious or no, I'm just excited to see a new Aronofsky film. I've enjoyed his work in the past thoroughly and am always open to see what he has next in the queue. NOAH looks like a cool, sprawling epic and I personally have no aversion to its religious content. I'm more interested in a well-told story by a strong filmmaker with a great cast, including Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, and Emma Watson. That's more than enough to get my ass into a seat.
NOAH splashes into theaters on March 28, 2014.
