Forget the Justice League, put the Avengers on the backburner and stop answering the X-Men’s calls; the Incredibles is the only superhero family you need. After a way too long 14 years the family is returning to theaters for an all-new adventure that picks up where the first left off. The first trailer for the movie is finally here, and all members of the Parr/Incredible crew – Bob/Mr. Increidble (Craig T. Nelson), Helen/Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Huck Milner) and Jack-Jack – are back to save the day. The whole thing just makes you want to don a pair of red spandex, no?
The trailer reveals more about the story, and how this time around it's Mr. Incredible who stays at home with the kids while Elastigirl goes about saving the day. There's far more in this preview about how Bob is struggling as a stay-at-home dad than on the heroics of Elastigirl, nor do we see much of the other kids. It's not as comprehensive as I would've liked, and I believe there's a larger, more definitive trailer out there, and we may have to wait a bit to see it. But who am I to complain? Any INCREDIBLES footage is good INCREDIBLES footage.
The movie also stars Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush and Samuel L. Jackson and hits theaters June 15.
