New images round-up: Civil War, Suicide Squad & X-Men: Apocalypse

As part of its summer movie preview, USA Today has released a bunch of stills from several films that will be hitting theaters in the coming months, including CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, SUICIDE SQUAD and X-MEN APOCALYPSE. Below you'll find fresh looks at Chris Evans as Captain America and Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. Which comic book movie are you looking forward to the most?

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

SUICIDE SQUAD

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will arrive in theaters on May 6th, followed by X-MEN: APOCALYPSE on May 27th, and SUICIDE SQUAD on August 5th.
