The first teaser trailer for HBO's Westworld series from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy premiered at SDCC on Saturday during the Person of Interest panel, and while I unfortunately don't have the teaser for your viewing pleasure, I do have a small batch of new images from the upcoming series. HBO tweeted the pics, which feature stars Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton.
Take a look:
Based on the 1973 sci-fi thriller directed by Michael Crichton, the series has been described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin." Late last year, Jonathan Nolan called the high-tech park "a place where you can be whoever you want to be and there are no consequences—no rules, no limitations," and said the plan was to create the "most ambitious, subversive, f–ked-up television series" with "the things that keep you up at night." How excited are you to check out the first episode of Westworld?
Westworld is expected to debut on HBO sometime this year.
