One of the most-anticipated films of the year, the 24th 007 flick SPECTRE is currently shooting all over the world and today we have a new peek at the title character, as well as a behind-the-scenes video blog that takes us into the magic being made in Austria for Bond's next big-screen adventure. Directed by SKYFALL's Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Monica Belluci, Dave Bautista, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Léa Seydoux, the latest installment brings us a new vision of the classic villain group S.P.E.C.T.R.E. (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion), which was led by the infamous Ernst Stavro Blofeld in 1962's DR. NO.
"Bond. James, Bond."
Here's the featurette:
Here's the synopsis:
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
So far, so good, eh? It sounds like they're looking to up the ante and make a film that rivals or tops SKYFALL, which I felt was the sleekest of all the Bond films to date. Personally, I'm happy to have Mendes back behind the camera and the cast is terrific to boot. I like the more "classic" angle they're taking by implementing S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and trying to create some more iconic villains and characters for Bond to play with (as long as it doesn't get too DIE ANOTHER DAY, anyway). November can't get here fast enough.
SPECTRE hits theaters on November 6, 2015.
