David Robert Mitchell’s IT FOLLOWS had an impressive opening weekend, despite opening in just four theaters in New York and Los Angeles. The film grossed an estimated $163,000 this weekend, averaging a solid $40,000 per venue, and is set to expand into a lot more cities this upcoming Friday. After a lot of positive buzz and many great reviews (including one from our very own The Arrow, who gave it some love in his review HERE), IT FOLLOWS is certainly on my "to see" list and I can't wait until it opens closer to my neck of the woods.
Today we've got a new illustrated poster for the Maika Monroe-starring flick to share with ya which reminds us that "It Doesn't Give Up", so be sure to watch your back and look behind you…because it's always following!
For 19-year-old Jay, fall should be about school, boys and weekends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, or something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her teenage friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.
IT FOLLOWS stars Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary, Olivia Luccardi and Lili Sepe. You can find out where the film will be playing near you on the official IT FOLLOWS website.
