Thanks to endless content on Netflix and countless podcasts the true crime format is more popular than ever, so of course, it makes sense to wonder what a true crime documentary covering the events of the original 1978 movie might look like. You need not wonder anymore, for in the new trailer for the movie, we get a taste of what something like that may look like. There are mug shots, characters pics, evidence photos and all done in ominous black and white. I can imagine there being some moody music too, because what's a true crime doc without moody music?

We’re less than a month away from the highly-anticipated horror movie, which sees the return of both Michael Myers (Nick Castle) and Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) 40 years after the events of the original movie. So far, the movie has garnered some great reviews, including from our own Chris Bumbray, who included it on his list of the 10 best movies he saw at TIFF. This trailer doesn’t add much more detail, but surely it will get you more pumped for October 19 – if you aren’t already at maximum pumped levels.
