Halloween Ends will bring the saga of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers to a conclusion and production on the sequel recently began. We’ve already seen a few images from the sequel but Blumhouse Production CEO Jason Blum took to Twitter to share a new Halloween Ends photo that features Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, and Kyle Richards as Lindsay Wallace.
Kyle Richards played Lindsay Wallace in John Carpenter’s original Halloween movie before returning for Halloween Kills. Sources told Variety last month that her role in Halloween Ends was beefed up thanks to the positive reception she received, and hopefully she’ll actually get to share a few scenes with her former babysitter. “When my character didn’t die, I was like, ‘Uhh, hello!’” Richards said. “The last movie, I saw Jamie on the set, but we didn’t have stuff together. So I’m really hoping that there is more stuff together. I can’t talk about any storylines, but all I can say is that we start filming in January, and I’m so excited to return with Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green.” As seen in the Halloween Ends photo above, it’s probably safe to assume that the pair will share at least one scene together.
We don’t know all that much about Halloween Ends, but we do know that it will be jumping four years into the future to the present day of 2022. “I would say that Halloween Ends is a more intimate movie where we were able to curate some of the aftermath of the chaos,” director David Gordon Green told Den of Geek last year. “So some of the characters that you’re referring to will have processed the insanity of the circus of the massacre of 2018. And not only that, but they’ve also processed the world as it’s spun so wildly in the last four years. In a lot of ways, it’s a coming of age story.” Halloween Ends is set for an October 14, 2022 release.
