I don’t know about you but when I hear that a film had to go back and shoot “additional” scenes, I get that certain crunching disconcerting feeling in my stomach. Throw in the fact that the movie that added scenes is Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN, and I nearly had an ulcer. But unfortunately it’s true, as Zombie was apparently working real hard filming new death scenes that are supposedly pretty damn bloody and gory, which is a plus, but one of the scenes he re-shot was the ending to the film. Hopefully what happened here is that Zombie took a look at the footage he shot of the original ending and wasn’t pleased or saw something he could improve. I’m just worried that the studio is behind the new ending, that’s never good news.
But I guess I can focus on the positive side to the news rather than the potential bad news. After all, the film did reportedly get a lot more gory and bloody, as six new death scenes were added. I just can’t help but wonder why all of a sudden, two months before this movie is supposed to come out, would Rob Zombie throw these scenes into the film…something would have to be wrong, right?
Either way, I’ll have my ass in a theater seat when this flick comes out…and so will you!
