Yesterday we got the first teaser video for the upcoming GLASS from M. Night Shyamalan, with the focus set on James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb. As expected we now have one for Bruce Willis’ David Dunn, with several snippets of footage showing him throwing fools around and talking about hunting down a killer (Crumb’s fiendish personality, The Beast).
Many folks went into SPLIT last year expecting a simple return to form for Shyamalan, only to discover the movie was, in fact, a long-awaited follow-up to his 2000 movie, UNBREAKABLE, starring Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. Now the third movie, GLASS, will unite the three in the writer/director’s very grounded take on the superhero movie.
Like the McAvoy teaser, there’s not a lot to go on, but what makes this one more special is that we haven’t seen Willis’ Dunn in action since UNBREAKABLE, so audiences are probably more anxious to see what he’s been up to for almost two decades. The same will go for the Jackson teaser tomorrow, leading up to the full trailer Friday. Wow, that last year and a half has really flown by, hasn’t it?
GLASS hits theaters January 18, 2019.
