New Ghostbusters film may ressurrect Ramis’ Egon via CGI

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Wow, the GHOSTBUSTERS news keeps rolling here today!

It was only earlier this morning that we shared with you guys a whole slatter of new info on the upcoming possible new GHOSTBUSTERS sequel and the planned animated film! But right now we need to talk about something that might not sit right with some of you. Others will all but jump for joy.

Now, I have talked aka ranted in the past about the use of CGI to recreate dead actors in the past so I'm not going to do that again here. Basically, I'm not sold on the concept. Anyhow today we have some startling news about this controversial topic.

Word on the street is yesterday at Comic Con original GHOSTBUSTERS director Ivan Reitman was asked if the new planned sequel would go the digital resurrection route with Harold Ramis and Egon.

To which Reitman replied:

It’s possible… it’s something we’re thinking of.

The added:

HINT.

I'm super on the fence about this one. But at the same time, come on, I'm sure Ramis himself would give this the stamp of approval. The man LOVED the franchise! I say bring him back. Seems fitting. Especially as a ghost. Or is THAT in bad taste…

Let us know what you think of this controversial topic on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

GHOSTBUSTERS 3 (or is it 2?) is now in development along with an animated movie!

This is the most bitchin' poster I have ever seen.
