Ol’ JACK REACHER is comin’ to town next month, based on the novel One Shot by author Lee Child, who gives some insight into the character in this new featurette for the upcoming film. Childs has written 17 JACK REACHER novels, focusing on the elusive former military policeman who seems to get entangled in conspiracies and violent throwdowns regularly.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie (WAY OF THE GUN) the film looks to be a solid action romp for the holiday season and certainly one I’m looking forward to. It’s my dream that McQuarrie will be able to recapture some of the magic from his epic and underrated shootout from the end of WAY OF THE GUN. One can hope.
Here’s Lee Childs on JACK REACHER:
The song that’s playing in the trailers is “State Trooper” by Drop the Lime and is the perfect song to play when whipping through traffic. Not that we advocate that, but hey, if you’re looking for a cool guy song to give you a boost, there you have it.
JACK REACHER, starring Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, Robert Duvall, Werner Herzog, and Courtney Jai starts going Jason Bourne on December 21, 2012.
