The momentum for THOR: THE DARK WORLD is picking up with each passing day as the onslaught of marketing material rains from the interwebs, rolling out trailers, TV spots, featurettes, and posters at a steady pace. Today, we have two more entries in the poster department, this time featuring character sheets for Volstagg (Ray Stevenson) and Fandral (Zachary Levi) and another new featurette that focuses on the Icelandic shooting location and massive sets. The location shooting and real-world sets are a big sell for me, which I again attribute to director Alan Taylor pulling from his time on Game of Thrones experience and working it into the Marvel universe.
Here's the featurette:

It seems like both THOR: THE DARK WORLD and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER are focusing greatly on locations for their sophomore efforts on the big screen and I think that's a tremendous step in the right direction. The first entries on both films relied heavily on CGI for a lot of their locations, but it feels like a concerted effort was made to lend some realism to both films by filming in distinct locations (Iceland for Thor and Washington D.C./Cincinatti for Cap), which will hopefully be felt in the final films, respectively. Based on the footage I've seen of both, it certainly feels that way.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD hits on November 8, 2013.
