Disney+ is inviting you behind the scenes of its hit series, The Mandalorian, in an upcoming eight-episode documentary series called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and we have the first trailer and key art for the project.
In the docuseries, executive produced by Jon Favreau, you're given an unprecedented look at the making of the series that quickly took pop culture by storm and became a fan favorite in STAR WARS circles. The documentary will take you into the STAR WARS universe to explore the first season of The Mandalorian with each chapter exploring a different aspect of the live-action STAR WARS television show through interviews with the cast and crew as well as never-before-seen footage and roundtable conversations hosted by Favreau.
The Mandalorian is set to premiere its second season in October and word has already come that season 3 is already in the works as well. While STAR WARS related material can be polarizing with fans, The Mandalorian seemed to garner near universal acclaim and it was also a hit critically, scoring a 93% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and audiences. The first season of The Mandalorian followed the travels of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches o the galaxy, far from the authority of the public. The series stars Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Rio Hackford, Gina Carano, Werner Herzog & Nick Nolte.
This will definitely be a docuseries worth checking out for fans of the series and it launches on the perfect day for STAR WARS fans: May, 4 2020 ("May The Fourth Be With You"). New episodes of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will stream every Friday beginning on that date on Disney+. Check out the new key art below!
