New director on board for Dimension Films’ upcoming slasher flick Kristy

Alright so this is the first we’re hearing about Dimension Films’ upcoming slasher flick KRISTY. So for all intent and purposes it doesn’t really matter that another director was attached to this thing. What matters is what’s happening now, in the moment!

And according to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting KRISTY has swapped out Gary Fleder for Olly Blackburn in it’s director’s chair. Works for me I guess. Blackburn can most recently be tied to the indie horror flick DONKEY PUNCH, which actually packed one hell of a … well… punch! But we’re here to talk about KRISTY. Described as being STRANGERS-esque, KRISTY’s rundown reads:

Follows a college coed who stays in her dorm during Thanksgiving and is terrorized by four masked assailants on the empty campus — the killers are up against far more than they bargained for.

Blackburn will be directing a script by Anthony Jaswinski, which Scott Rosenberg is retooling as we speak. David M. Kirschner and Corey Sienga will produce with Matthew Stein executive producing.

As soon as Rosenberg finishes his script revisions I’d expect we’ll get more updates on this one, so you’ll want to check back soon for that!
