New Creed II images find Michael B. Jordan in fighting form

We may have already seen the first teaser for CREED II, but any amount of Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed in fighting form is a welcome amount. With that in mind, you can get a fresh look at the upcoming sequel to the 2015 hit with new photos released by MGM and Warner Bros.

The first teaser for the movie was released not too long ago and wowed audiences with its impact and allusions to, but not reliance on, Creed’s key opponent and the return of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). Ryan Coogler, who directed the first movie, was busy with BLACK PANTHER and couldn’t return for the sequel so duties were handed over to Steven Caple Jr. with Sylvester Stallone handling the script and acting duties as Rocky Balboa.

You can check out the images below, with one featuring Jordan looking like he wants to hit something and then the next showing him actually hitting something. That’s sort of how boxing movies go.

Here is the official plot synopsis for the movie which also stars Tessa Thompson, Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad.

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.
