Although there's not a lot that scares me when it comes to horror films, there's something about haunted house tales and stories about possession which set my hair on end. In recent years there have been two films in that genre which have kept me up at night, INSIDIOUS and THE CONJURING, both originating from James Wan. The upcoming sequel to THE CONJURING is a little over a week away and will see Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren. Horror flicks don't always get the most respect, but James Wan claims that that's something he wants to change in a new featurette for THE CONJURING 2.
Although I'm a big fan of both THE CONJURING and INSIDIOUS, I ended up being a little disappointed with the second chapter of INSIDIOUS. Here's hoping that THE CONJURING 2 doesn't end up in the same boat. Wan's latest film once again delves into the case-files of the Warrens, this time focusing on the Enfield Poltergeist who haunted two sisters at a council house in the London Borough of Enfield.
THE CONJURING 2 is set for a June 10, 2016 release.
