From day one, Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard have proclaimed CABIN IN THE WOODS as a combination of multiple genres. Now we can definitely see the film has a funny bone as well.

Whedon really seems to have hit the nail on the head with this one. It feels like the closest thing we have gotten to THE EVIL DEAD in quite some time. I am hoping that the promise of twists and unexpected turns will live up to the hype. A friend of mine saw an advanced screening and said it absolutely does.
