A new trailer for the upcoming Disney film CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is here, and much like another talking bear film, PADDINGTON 2, the movie is shaping up to be a real test of humanity. Sporting a few more scenes between Robin (Ewan McGregor) and Pooh, we get even better glimpses of the dry whimsy and wisdom of the cuddly bear, and of the silliness of that comes from talking to a stuffed animal in public. Very much a remedy for any sort of bad times you’re having, you can watch the new trailer above and feel your heart melt into what I imagine is a sort of jam.
A story about learning to rediscover your sense of wonder, ROBIN finds an adult Christopher Robin joining Winnie the Pooh on an adventure to find the bear’s lost woodland pals. Also starring is Hayley Atwell, Mark Gatiss, with Jim Cummings as Pooh and Tigger, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, Toby Jones as Owl, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga and Nick Mohammed as Piglet.
This movie looks undeniably sweet in every way, and I can't imagine it's something anyone will dislike. You got Pooh interacting with people on the street, the rest of the Hundred Acre Wood gang, and it all looks so adorable and fluffy and innocent. Again, like the PADDINGTON movies, I can see this winning over the hearts of all audiences, and its pure-of-heart approach will cure whatever ails you.
CHRISTOPHER ROBIN arrives August 3.
