Are you folks ready to see the most adorable movie ever made? Yes, I know that’s a bold statement seeing as how PADDINGTON 2 came out only a few months ago, but seriously, CHRISTOPHER ROBIN will probably steal the crown. The new trailer for the movie is here, and we finally get a great look at the live action Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, and Owl. Spoiler alert, they look cute as hell, and the movie itself with Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell looks utterly wonderful. This trailer is the humanity test; if you don’t grin at least once, you’re not one of us.
Centering on an older Christopher Robin (McGregor), the once playful, imaginative child who ventured into Hundred Acre Wood is now a stuffy, work-focused adult. He’s forgotten what it means to put first the things that make life magical, like family and friends. Enter the huggable Winnie the Pooh, who after seeking Robin’s help in finding his friends takes his crew of woodland critters to try and save Robin from his life of suitcases and paperwork.
Director Marc Forster returns to his FINDING NEVERLAND style of filmmaking here, with a script from Allison Schroeder and Alex Ross Perry (SPOTLIGHT’s Tom McCarthy handled the rewrite). The cast of adorable creatures is filled by Jim Cummings (Pooh), Chris O'Dowd (Tigger), Brad Garrett (Eeyore), Toby Jones (Owl), Nick Mohammed (Piglet), Peter Capaldi (Rabbit), and Sophie Okonedo (Kanga).
CHRISTOPHER ROBIN arrives in theaters to warm your heart August 3.
