With the summer movie season nearly upon us, the many blockbusters of the year have begun to release more and more marketing materials, including poster after poster. X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, the next installment of the X-MEN franchise, will bring together quite a few of the mutants we know and love as they find themselves battling against the most powerful mutant in the X-MEN universe. Upon awakening after thousands of years, Apocalpyse (Oscar Isaac) becomes disillusioned with the state of the world and recruits his Four Horsemen, Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Archangel (Ben Hardy), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order.
A new set of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE character posters have been released, check 'em out!
Our next set of character posters today comes from Duncan Jones' upcoming adaptation of Blizzard's WARCRAFT, which finds the peaceful realm of Azeroth standing on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. It's been a little hard to tell just how WARCRAFT will be received, at first glance it appears to be a confusing mess of CG creatures, but I have enough faith in Duncan Jones that I know I'll be checking this out at some point.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will be released on May 27, 2016 and WARCRAFT is set for a June 10, 2016 release.
